Hi all,

I've got an S4 that im rather fond of, and im looking for recommendations for companies that undertake rust repair. - My cars got some mild rust on the sills (looks like stone chips have allowed moisture to get in under the paint), and some bubbling on the wings- Nothing too horrific, but need sorting now before it gets to the crumbly 'screw driver goes through' phase

It seems most run of the mill bodyshops dont want to deal with anything rust related - Are restoration and rust repair skills a dying art? Would anyone be able to recommend anyone? I believe in doing things properly, so really want a decent job done, not a sand down repaint and its back in a year bodge.

You'd want a garage to cut out the bad section weld new metal in then the body shop the clean up fill and repaint the areas

I've just had a small repair to a rear inner arch. I haven't had a close look yet, but I asked for it not to be undersealed, as it looks crap, so will be finishing it off myself. They had no issue with that and it looks OK.

When I picked it up, it was parked between a Ferrari and a Hyundai i30.

Thumbs up for Brewsters, although I've never had metal cut out & replaced by them.

What's needed is a classic car specialist, who will be used to fixing rust.
I was Internet searching for recommendations somewhere local, the first 2 no longer existed, the 3rd, found on PH was Brewsters.

As for Fourways, I cannot comment on the quality of their work, however many years ago, they treated me like st.
