Immobiliser changed - Griff back up and running
Discussion
Immobiliser packed up when at the BP garage 4 miles from Rockingham on Sunday morning.
Low loader home and back in the Skoda.
Panic thinking how much is this going to cost and who will do it. After my post on Monday morning called Carl Baker ( www.tvruk.tv )who said he could fix up but he's in Hampshire and I'm in B'ham and the car is dead. Anyway, I agreed to pay the travelling charge as I wanted the car back (bearing in mind it has been away 6 weeks for an engine rebuild just before Xmas and 7 weeks for a respray which was completed a week ago) and Carl had a slot on Wednesday so deal was done.
Car working great (apart fro the speedo not working -that'll be another post) and 2 new fobs which actually work.
Great job at a reasonable price so many thanks to Carl.
Just wish he lived a tad nearer.
