In the market for a 911 997 C2S BUT...

Have been on the hunt for a decent 911 997 C2S with a budget of c£24k - £26k so probably a Gen1 or a high mileage GenII. However upon searching an Aston Martin V8V has caught my eye; so it’s got me questioning, why wouldn’t I buy the Aston?

Any other cars I should consider?

Maserati Gransport would be on my list alongside those two.

Go and drive them, I love my Vantage as it’s such an event to drive (think old school muscle car).

The 911 has always been a bit ‘meh’ for me, it’s a special daily not a weekend car (unless you are talking GT3, etc).

At your budget are you just getting in to the older / high mileage V8V’s?

I’ve had mine over 3 years and the only things that has been required outside of servicing were failed ac unit (fixed under warranty), repaint on the door handles for bubbling (common issue).

This is a little older than I’d consider; I am however very keen on the Maserati Granturismo.
