Bleached central locking wheel hub

The centre wheel locking hub on my 991.1 GTS has bleached, probably from wheel cleaning chemicals. Instead of repainting or replacement, any suggestions to restore it's original black colour?

Olive oil will restore the colour if it’s not too far gone

Otherwise a black Sharpie laundry marker for any really white bits..
