Hi folks,
Put my Skoda karoq in for its first service in my local garage today. However couldn’t find the service record book.
A google search suggests that Skoda have possibly done away with this now, and it’s all electronic based.
Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks.

The dealer that you took the car will be able to confirm. Why not call them?

My understanding is that it’s all online now. My local Audi specialist says he has no access to historic servicing nor can update Audi records with the work he has done.

Other than paper records of work done with receipts I don’t know how you can pass this information on to a new owner

Nope only main dealers can access and update it, I would be careful if the car is under warranty as part of the checks with any claim is the service record any missed service could void the claim.

After the local VAG non-franchise specialist serviced my Seat the local Seat dealer could see on his system the date that the car had been serviced.

We use the same log in details for Skoda, Seat, VW and Audi, yes it shows up on the DSS so if you ever call in to customer services any services we have carried out will show.
