My favourite of the modern RS’s. Stunning cars.
Never had the pleasure of driving one though!
I would change the PASM to some plush shocks, but that's about it, the clutch are bloody heavy also.Never had the pleasure of driving one though!
but it's a very iconic car. I just love driving mine more atm, head says get out as this will never be a cheap car and might go up.
but these are £150k cars atm so the values in the miles which means you cannot use it unless you like throwing away £30k
like the 996 RS the miles kill these cars, so they need to be forever cars now and I am not ready for that so might miss the boat if they go up.
but like the 996 RS both are falling in price atm.

Price is what the owners want, you get what you pay for ,a almost new car as a classic and will always hold good value. One owner cars are super rare and low miles as well even more so,i have mine for sale now as well, its mint one owner, not even driven by a opc as factory collection.

The clutch is heavy though, is what it is without name calling ;-) but maybe I am just a fairy. Does not change the true fact of the clutch weight !Price is what the owners want, you get what you pay for ,a almost new car as a classic and will always hold good value. One owner cars are super rare and low miles as well even more so,i have mine for sale now as well, its mint one owner, not even driven by a opc as factory collection.
what owners want and what buyers are wanting to pay don't go hand in hand.
I could say I want £145k for my GT3 as an example, I won't get that figure though.
which is your one ? I also like the white/gold one at an OPC just come for sale also. (which I now take a guess at being your one then)
only 2 cars I have seen sell In the last 12 months have both been £149k the TM one and the JZM car. the rest have been sitting there inc that £162k blue one and a lot of others which are at daft price for the miles.
low miles cars might get a sale from a rich collector, time will tell and that's the risk the buyers at £180k will have ago with as low miles cars a few and far between.
I got offered £10k over retail for my Spyer last year, because some one wanted my spec car, I wanted to keep it more though. It only takes one buyer but now we have 2 low miles what look like mint cars for sale at the same time !
on the other side my mates RHD 65 sold for £30k less than he wanted for it, very few buyers for £300k cars so took the best offer.
amazing cars the RS brands shame none get driven now !

Clutch is what it is. Yes, not the lightest (esp compared the weird feather light number in the 991.2 GT3), but nothing especially heavy either. It is the same weight as every other mezger variant GT3. Infact it is the exact same clutch - I have the same spec clutch in the 996 GT3 as the 997RS.
Granted, it might annoy if used every day as a daily commute in zone 1 - but so would the obscuring rear wing, the louder internal noises, stiff ride, etc, etc...
Unless one has a particular back/strength issue, the clutch should not be a consideration...
The one time I did have a extra weighty clutch was in my first 996 GT3 when it was either on the way out or something wrong with the clutch bearing or other mechanism. It is possible I guess people might have driven cars with dodgy clutches.

Low owner low miles cars are now unique,it does not need to be a collector, some one may just want a genuine well cared for rs to use and not give a hoot about using it or what it costs.
My car is white gold, full opc history and more oil changes than porsche recomend,it got used in the early years of owning it,but the maca caused this one to be used less at is was purely my road car,i ran it in on my way back from the factory and done one wet track day at spa.

The first time I drove one, I noticed the weight of the clutch.
For about 30 seconds.
It is now entirely unnoticeable even after long periods of not driving the car. I have no idea how that works, but it really is a non-issue.
Long periods of not driving the car is an issue though.
Long periods can be a issue if just left neglected and forgotten about, mine was a regular run up to temp and run the drive train. For about 30 seconds.

The clutch really is a non issue,if the clutch as said goes really heavy,it will probably indicate a fault such as shaft seizure,or master cylinder binding etc
