You do lose the carbon roof but there are people who want the sunroof so they can fit roof bars for bikes and roof box etc. (You can’t with the carbon roof without drilling it!)

Horses for courses really; I’d expect the lack of carbon roof to mean a lower price in the future but not much.

I've not seen many without a carbon roof. However, I'd prefer a sunroof to the carbon roof. Any weight saving isn't really going to be felt on the school run or sitting in traffic on the North Circular.

When I was ordering my M4 in 2016 I was strongly advised by the dealer NOT to order a sunroof (or a manual!). Used prices of sunroof models seemed to be lower and they took longer to sell (not that there were many around) so I think you should be able to secure a good deal if you can find one with a sunroof.

You will be very limited in cars to choose from if you decide you want a sunroof.

Given the scarcity I suppose you could argue that it won't hinder resale too much as, again, there will be very few for other people to choose from as well.
