Le Mans camp options
Discussion
Morning all,
For 5 years now I have been going to Le Mans camping in Bleu Nord. I've always enjoyed this camp and location but the public nature concerns me.
Last year we had c9 people coming and going with a large spot and inherently someone on site at most times. FakeTaxi if anyone saw us?
However this year it will be just 4 of us and all with tickets to the race so will be spending a fair chunk of time at the track leave the camp open to anyone.
On to the question; where is a good place to be that isn't too far away from the action that having a small camp fire, music etc isn't frowned upon?
TIA

Blue Nord must have changed. It was loud Dutch Techno and all sorts of misbehaviour when we were there. The major problem was stuff getting nicked, as anyone could wander in.
Now, we don't leave anything out and lock everything away
I think fires and fireworks are frowned upon as they pack everything so tight, if one tent caught fire, it would spread.

Will be my third time on Epinettes. Good site, not aware of many security issues, hopefully the same again. Technically external so no issues with bottles. Not too far from the circuit, close to the tram, access roads etc.
Shhh! Don't tell everyone about it!! We've been camping there for about 4/5 years now and it seems to suit us quite well.OP, get to know your neighbours - you look after their stuff and they look after your stuff. We met some really friendly French people, Germans, Dutch, Australians and English race goers over the years. Mostly the same people on the same campsite year in, year out.
In the 20 years I've been going I think we had 1 year where there was a bit of trouble, but admittedly I think we'd left some stuff a bit exposed, so temptation as it were. But nothing of any value - stuff gets locked in boots or glove boxes as needed. If someone wants to steal my dirty clothes or a half eaten Merguez then they're welcome to it!
