Is the Electric Vauxhall Mokka going to happen?

I heard Vauxhall plans to release the electric Vauxhall Mokka in March for deliveries in 2021, is this really going to happen?

The boss of Vauxhall apparently shared with a car website that the Vauxhall Mokka will be coming in 2020 in an electric form.

I think it will be a terrible idea. It is really economical as it is and all that added battery weight would ruin the sublime handling. Even if they did do it at least it would still one of the best looking cars ever made.

I am genuinely one of the eight Vauxhall fans on PH. I grew up with them as my father would drive nothing else, I've owned three and there's a quite a long list of models I would still love to own.

However, I'd rather crawl from place to place on my bare hands and knees than drive any sort of Mokka so that bit was sarcasm...

Presumably this will be an all new, PSA chassis Mokka? The current Mokka is still based on the original GM Korea chassis.
