had a conversation with mrs Iroc and the subject of height came up. I mentioned as a kid/teen I'd have loved to have been 6'6" or a little taller (I loved rugby and athletics also granddad was 6'4") but as the years have gone on I've realised that I couldn't have owned most of the cars I've had at that height with the appropriate build. Now I'm actually more than happy with my 5'8"/9" - 6' would have been nice but realistically WGAF.

Any others on here wish they were a different height or their (unalterable) physical appearance was different?

I'm just under 6ft ish which'll do fine. I definitely wouldn't want to be ultra tall.

As for the rest of me, everything that needs altering is doable and my responsibility for letting it go.

Yes I do! Not because I’ve got any particular small man syndrome, but because clothes shopping is a pain.

For example, I got some Ted Baker vouchers from work. Went in... their smallest size clothes are too big, and their shoes don’t go down small enough. So basically nothing I can buy other than accessories in the whole shop.

This is the same in a lot of shops. I can’t see clothes I like and then find my size, I have to almost reverse shop by finding things that would fit first, then work out if I like it...

Yes. Mainly flab and fitness or lack thereof.

Nothing else needs adjusting. It gets the job done. And I can buy things like new teeth if needed in future.

5'10" is fine, sometimes wish I'd hit 6', but so what. Often wish I hadn't been born ginger, though. Seems to be an advantage for women and detrimental for men.

I could do with being a stone lighter. I've struggled with my weight my whole adult life, and in the last few years I went from 16ish stone down to 13, but now I'm back up at 14 stone again. Job stresses lead me to lose control over my diet, lack of exercise blah blah... A new baby and some other issues are probably not going to help.

I've nothing to blame my genes for. I am 6' exactly which is fine. I used to feel a bit sorry for myself for being overweight because I felt that I seemed to put on weight readily but struggled to shed it.

I had a change in circumstances which lead to a change in lifestyle which in turn resulted in effortless weight loss. Looking back I am now grateful that I wasn't more overweight than I was, as with the benefit of hindsight I could well have been.

Since I properly grew up (hit 30) I am now grateful for my health and am taking much more responsibility to preserve that.

Being 6'6" is great, I have direct first hand experience of most other heights and they really aren't as good.

6'1, just right. Not too tall and not too short.

6'2" and wouldn't want to be any more.

Proper Minis, Lotus Sevens and Esprits are just about manageable.

I think that a straight 6' would be the best compromise.

6ft 5 and now weigh 12 1/2 stone, it’s taken 20 odd years to get up to this weight! Inside leg is 36, waist of 34, clothes are a pain to get as most long trousers only go to 34, while shirts and tops tend to look shrunken. I can’t get in certain cars, as I can’t fold my legs up, but having said that, I drive a 1959 Frogeye, it takes some wiggling to get in, but it’s ok.

I sometimes wish I was slightly shorter, but not often, at least it’s handy for my wife, she tells people to meet back at me!

I'm just over 6'3".

Shopping for clothes and shoes is a pain.

Some cars are completely off limits to me.

I bang my head on stuff now and again.

Flying economy is a pain.

But I never wish to be shorter.

I'm 6'2" and the only times I've really wished I was shorter has been when cracking my head on things biggrin

Occasionally wished I was taller, whenever I go to a concert or event there's invariably someone taller standing right in front of me biggrin Especially since moving to the Netherlands, where they average height is about 6', so I'm not tall here.

My wife's about 6' and never used to wear heels when she was with her previous, shorter, boyfriend, so I guess she was a bit self conscious about her height.

I'd give anything to be a good 6-8" shorter. Most of my friends are small and cute and look gorgeous in heels, whereas at 5'10" I look like flipping Herman Munster. Which is a massive shame because shoes are my life and my passion (along with driving of course!)

I'm 5'3". Being taller would have helped in the dating game (just 5'10" or something) but I'm married now so no worries there. Don't really care about it now. Though it would make buying motorbikes easier as there are a lot I don't fit on. If I was taller now though, most of my clothes wouldn't fit any more and I'm loathe to throw them away.

I would like to get rid of my flat feet and crap knees.
