crappy porsche lights GRRRRR
Discussion
Ive just put some new front bulbs in my 986 and for the life of me I cant get the headlighst to lock back in place. Give em a tug and they pull straight back out. Any of you guys know a knack on how to lock em in place. Followed instructions in the book but it just wont seat. Im sure the crappy 5mm tool does help. Why make a nut 5mm, who carries a 5mm socket.
moan moan moan.
Plus I need to drive it in a bit, how secure are they when they arent locked.
cheers

It could be a bit quiet in here.... Most of the Boxster boys and girls frequent www.Boxa.net. I would ask in there, or the Porsche forum here, which is much livelier. I bet they're identical to the 996.
Sorry if i've just grabbed the wrong end of the stick, but there's a tool in the toolkit (behind the spare wheel) for doing the lights with.
I've just had to remove and replace the lights on my dad's Skoda octavia, therefore i consider the boxster process to be easy! (Pull this, onbolt this, push this, turn that, unscrew this turny thing, pull the whole lot out, ping off annoying little clip things, use triple jointed bionic fingers to extract bulb. Reverse to refit, then find it still doesn't work.)
