As some of you will know I have been having problems with my Mcleod clutch for a while.
Dom at Powers Performance has very kindly offered to supply me with his uprated clutch to try out in my Chimaera at no cost up font. If it works all is good if it doesn't then send it back.
You can't ask for anything better than that.

Maybe this is why I often support Powers on here.

I just hope Dom stays forever young as he never stops working biggrin

It might not be the cheapest but as Dom’s a racer at heart he’s always trying to prove his products and giving a clutch to Barry seems a rather good way to test that theory out.

Recently Dom offered some help towards my chassis resto, nearly brought me to tears rofl
It’s ok I’ve overcome a couple of issues but the fact he was there offering real honest open support warms my heart.

Ok I’ve had a lot of work done at Powers but I’d never change any of it as it all just works like a clock.
Some people bang on how other engine builds have more power than mine, mine is exactly how I asked it to be built. Torque being my interest not BHP
He listened and de catt my standard 450 has over 350 ft of torque which feels ok to me. It’s done 25,000 miles since rebuild and still feels brand new which is also very important to me.
Worth every penny is how I see it.
Support the independent’s and Powers are a vital member of that increasingly small group.

Have to agree about Dom going the extra mile. He has rebuilt two engines for me previously and currently has the one from my SEAC in for a rebuild.

Once I was having issues with my Cerb which he'd rebuilt the engine for and he spent a considerable time on the phone helping me sort it out - on a Sunday! Credit where credit is due.

I do often wish that Dom had bought the rights to TVR and was deciding to make a future TVR rather than les edgar.

I know its pie in the sky thinking and he probably doesn't want, but to be honest he pretty much is the epitome of TVR even when TVR was a going concern.

I would second the above.
From my experience, he stands by his/his teams work, and if there are any issues, works to resolve it and stands by his word.

No doubt someone somewhere maybe cheaper etc, but what matters with these cars, where they are all now slightly different, and unique in their own way, and 20+years old, is the overall support and aftercare you get.

I would also say the same about Dave Batty, for those who know him.
