I’ve been with EE for years, but I want a change of phone and Virgin Media seem to have some cracking deals. Before I sign up, has anybody used Virgin before, and is it worth signing up for? Thanks in advance for any responses!

They seem ok. No bonkers pricing unlike their broadband!!

£14 for a basic Sony (XA1) worth £150 and 1Gb/1000mins/unlimited texts. Upgrade every 2 years. I was paying £12 for just the sim so the phone really costs me £48 and I will be able to flog it for about £50 in a few months. It runs Real Racing 3 and COD so I don't know what crazy processing power I'd need to be requiring in order to pay £1k for a phone. nuts

PS Isn't Virgin riding on EE's network?

At the moment, yes. However in 2021 it's switching to Vodafone.

Yes its been fine.
Been with them many years and its been good. the service and billing has been good.
just pleased generally. The poster above is correct and they are switching to Vodafone which I am not sure will be as good for me personally

I'm a couple of months away from the end of my 2 year contract with them, I've been more than happy with them and will likely upgrade to the Galaxy S20 with them.

Their packages are indeed very good and better many others out there.

Prices are indeed vey good. However signal strength where I live is poor. I used to be with Vodafone, i wish I hadn’t moved now.

Do you use WiFi calling? Not sure if it has changed but last time I was on Virgin they did not do WiFi calling.

I also remember there was something weird with their MMS, I had to go into a website to download any pictures sent via MMS.

You will be back on through Vodafone next year. Then you can move back to your old house

I jumped ship & went with Three Mobile.
VM like to increase prices too often.
