Hi guys looking for recomenations please

Realise it's not a huge budget and can stretch a little but looking to get the best I can for my money.

I've got £300 to spend in what will be my main TV for the lounge, I've got a sound bar I can re use and the house doesn't have a TV aerial (previous owner removed it) so we use a free sat box.

I have a fire TV stick too.

Found these 2 so far

Toshiba 43UL5A63DB 43-Inch Smart 4K Ultra-HD HDR LED TV with Freeview Play - Black/Silver (2019 Model) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SMKLVJP/ref=cm_sw_r...

JVC Fire TV Edition 40'' Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07ZQK89GJ/ref=cm_sw_r...

I don't know much about TVs so would appreciate any advice please

The JVC and the Toshiba will most likely be generic TVs out of a Turkish factory that sticks different badges on essentially the same TV.

Have a look for something like a Samsung or LG if on a budget, better screen better interface, better quality all round

may as well get one with a long warranty. Still 6 years for a cheap one at richersounds. I agree about the name makes
an LG or samsung is nice to use. I would stretch an extra 30 or so quid for one of those.

We had a cheap 43" Toshiba (made by Vestel) and on standard definition broadcast TV it was almost unwatchable. HD was OK. Very easy to use interface.

Seems it was unusual as it had forward facing speakers almost like it had a built in soundbar, and sound was very good. It developed a line on the screen after a few months, that model had been discontinued and no other had the same speaker set up so they just gave us our money back.

I’ve just got a 49” version of that and it’s great
