Be suspicious, as Facebook is rife with scammers. Are you sure the email is from Facebook, or just a phishing email formatted to look like it came from Facebook?

It was an add on FB that you clicked a link on and it sent you an email with a zip file....

I saw the ad on Instagram. I was a bit suspicious so read a load of the comments to see if anybody had had any problems after downloading the album and of the people who had downloaded it nobody seemed to have any so I took the plunge and downloaded it.

Obviously you have to give them your email address and then you get a zip file of all the tracks. The only downside, as I completely expected, is that I am now on the Joe Bonamassa mailing list so get promotional emails every few days about upcoming releases etc. I could unsubscribe if it really gets bothersome but it's not an issue at the moment.

Never really heard much Bonamassa before but really enjoying these tracks particularly as they were free.

He does a cracking live show as well. And has some great surprise guests on stage. Bernie Marsden when I saw him last.

Was this legit?

I downloaded it over a week ago and apart from the marketing emails have had no other issues. I think it's just a way of marketing his material to people who might not have heard much from him before on the basis that once you've heard some of his stuff you might want to hear more in future and be willing to pay for it.

Rightho. If it tickles your fancy, try it on the free version of Spotify as well, the acoustic concert in the Carnegie Hall is good, Walter Trout is another in a similar vein.

Thanks Steve, I'd deleted the email after becoming suspicious. Will retrieve it and download.
