Am I looking for the proverbial unicorn?

Would love rwd and turbo but not fussed.

Fast mini?

Needs to do the commute of around 400 miles a week in boring slow traffic so Bluetooth would be a must, heated seats and xenon's a Brucie bonus...

Facelift E46 330ci coupe. Rwd, 231 bhp, 6 speed manual, 28 to 36mpg, quick, balanced, fun, leather, xenon's.

The obvious answer if you are not into BMW is an MX5.

I read that thread. I'm nowhere near as awkward. Love BMW's. Currently have a 7 series and am a bit addicted really.

Wow! You're an inspiration mate!!

I've already got a 730d and it is a cracking engine. Putting it in a 3 series chassis might be just what I'm looking for...

A fair bit above 5k but there'd be a fair bit of haggle room on that price to be honest.

Only a remap away from 330i power.

Perfect for the wind and rain up in Scotland smile

Lol. When can I throw my toys out the pram like the other bloke who had impossible requirements?

Was just surprised at the mpg figures stated. I’ve got an E46 330i, 20 mile commute per day, bout 14 miles motorway/dual carriageway, 6 miles stop start and I struggle to get 26 mpg. It’s not even that fast either. I only keep it because it was dirt cheap.
