Care unlocking itself and refusing to lock? 2015 5-series.
Discussion
2015 5-series touring, 530d.
It has comfort access but i dont use it that often.
Last couple of days, it was unwilling to unlock with the button press on the first try. Never thought anything of it, assumed the battery might be going in the fob.
After locking it, i could hear all 4 actuators in all 4 doors 'clicking' as though they were engaging the deadlocks, and they would do this 4 or 5 times, as though they were trying but not working.
Tonight, locked it, fine, pressed again to deadlock, the 4 doors make the same noise, then the car unlocks itself.
Lock it again with one press, seems fine, deadlock, actuator noise 4 or 5 times, car unlocks. It refused to stay locked after dealocking. 6 or 7 attempts at this and it finally stayed locked after deadlocking.
I tried the spare remote and nothing at all worked, but granted the battery in this is probably flat.
Something for me to worry about? Am i going to be totally locked out one day, unable to get in?
