I've always thought with your anarchist types is if they ever actually got their way they would be fked. Most of them are middle class hippie types that would be stabbed to death and left in a ditch within days. Idiots.

And there I was thinking these people clambering on planes, gluing themselves to buildings and stopping traffic for days on end were well-meaning and upstanding citizens.

No they wouldn't.

Animal Farm to them is an instruction book, not a fable.

I'm sure I read fairly recently that XR had been added to some sort of proscribed organisation list? Possibly even extremist/terrorist?

I think his point is that these anarchist types wanting the end of society or whatever, would be least able to survive if they get their wish. They thrive at the moment because they are cocooned and protected by the world that they rage against and often have financial support from their parents and other capitalists not because they are “wildings” or part of a “feral consciousness.”

Like I've always said, XR and a lot of other similar groups are really just a hard left organisation determined to cause trouble with the objective being -

Bring down any conservative government
Bring down Donald Trump
Bring down any successful capitalist organisation.

You can spot it a mile off, by the type of person seen across our news channels, with Greta being the ultimate rouge.

His views need to be heard far and wide. Only then will society understand what it is dealing with.

sounds to me what we are dealing with is some batst crazy former student radical who has never made much of his life and thinks this gives him status. No differnet to stupid fkin hippies in the 60s thinkng the end is nigh while 90% of people just got st done.

I imagine they are on a "back-burner" list to keep an eye on though ;-)

They do say "Simon’s views as expressed in this video do not represent the position of Extinction Rebellion as a whole"....clearly some nutters are more extreme than other.
I'm mildly of the nutty view that we do currently consume too much of the resources on Planet Earth (& I am as guiltily hypocritical as anyone, indeed more than many), and doing something about it would be a good thing to help future grandchildren not be struggling to find water to drink....but then much of the planet struggles with that already frown

Does that make me crackpot crazy?

Exactly, show them for what they really are and watch their support dwindle until they are irrelevant.

I don't know, will you glue yourself to a plane? or bring down society?

If not, you're probably ok.
