Do Any Couriers Accept Non Boxed Tyres ?

I'm struggling to find a Courier who will accept tyres that aren't boxed

I know they are delivered unboxed but it seems they have special terms

InterParcel, Ebay and Paisley Freight all say they have to be boxed.

I sent them via Interparcel for years but was hit with a £15 surcharge the last time

I've sent unboxed before. I just wrapped the tyres in cling film or a black bin bag and attached a label. All good.

Last tyres I ordered from Camskill came unboxed via DPD.

I've used parcel force before (possibly booked via interparcel) without any issues.

I bought a tyre delivered by hermes about 2 years ago. It was wrapped in a couple of black bin liners, had no problems with it getting to me.

Sent tyres with Hermes and paisley freight, shrink-wrap tape and a label.

DPD delivered a load of winters to me wrapped in cling film, so they definitely do.

I've sent them unboxed and unwrapped with just a label taped securely to them via Hermes.

I've used Paisleyfreight loads, most recent maybe autumn last year - single tyres well wrapped in bin bags and lots of parcel tape - no problems.

Every tyre I've mail ordered for the last decade has come simply wrapped in clingfilm with a label stuck to that.

I've only ever done it as per Dan's instructions and never had any issues with the major couriers used (DPD/Parcelfarce/Yodel/Hermes).

I sent a pair of sportsbike tyres wrapped in black clingfilm this morning via Parcelforce, DPD & Parcel Monkey etc.

Yet all there info states they must be boxed

I've been surcharged (by UPS) as they weren't boxed, the delivery guy says most aren't whether 1%, 10%, 90% are then surcharged, who knows

another vote for Paisley Freight - used them a few times, never boxed the tyres.

ditto, used Paisley Freight a few times.
However rather than fully 'box' I wrapped in cardboard and tape - basically I created 2 big squares (each made up from whatever old boxes I could find), folded the overhang around the tyre edge, and then lots of tape/bin liners to cover the tyre edges.
From memory, 1 or 2 large crisp boxes from the back of my Tesco express provided sufficient cardboard for each wheel.

I've not been surcharged & I sell my scrubs regularly mainly by Parcelforce but have used the couriers listed & not had a surcharge.
