Are Griffs selling

Trying to sell my Griff, no phone calls yet. Is the market dead, pretty sure im not asking too much. Worked it out from others for sale, mileage age etc. Any one else wondering the same???

I have it on PH and in the car club. Consdering Top Marques also!

Had my S up at the beginning of the year in Feb..... no takers + plus could not bear being TVRless.

Bought a Griff.... and ran both .. well until tomorrow.

I got a phone call out of the blue, a shock as it had been off the market for 3 months.

Remember it is a specialist market hence and not everyone can get insurance. Its not as easy as selling a Fiesta or Ford Mundane

Phil, I checked your ad, you haven't made much of an effort. Your description is short, but photo even worse, it doesn't show me anything about the car except an ordinary Griffith.

Try a few along these lines: It costs nothing.

Err... it's actually like trying to get a job - the wider you spread your net/appeal to your demographic/etc

The more exposure you get, the more you can 'sell' the car.

Hell, buy the a page in the Sun... if you need a quick sale... from £42,247 for 3 days.

It's also seasonal, and it's nearly sunny!! Should get an extra £500 on a nice day...

If I were selling now, I would find every website (not necessarily Ebay - without a reserve...), every free paper ad, autotrader, etc and wait. You never know...

There will be a call, when you least expect it - and probably most need the cash... try not to compromise...

I suspect it also doesn't help having an advert right below it for a very similar car (in terms of spec and mileage, not colour) that is best part of 2k cheaper...

I've heard that ad presentation is an important part of successful selling - First impressions and all that! There are people who make a good living buying stuff on eBay that is badly advertised, and simply reselling it for more in better presented ads!
