invest in a car charging point company?

is this possible / have i missed the boat. seems that they will make a fortune in the next few years? eg i'll need to spend a few thousand digging up my road and getting a point near a car?

You may have missed the boat... some of the networks have been acquired by the oil majors, the others have been largely crowdfunded already and may struggle without the scale of a large corporate behind them. I invested in one back in 2010, which was acquired..

Chargemaster was acquired by BP. IIRC Rolec and Podpoint, the other big 2 are independent. EO Charging are smaller but up and coming and have had private investment, not sure about the others. There are plenty of competitors in the marketplace, some of which may be long term winners, some of which may not...
