LOL,
Hi Steve,
Not totally, we called it a day just before midnight! The advance was a lot more stable and it was only advancing when it got really hot. Both Paul & Mark were really frustrated as neither of them has ever seen anything like it in all their years of working on these engines, just my luck.
The general consensus is that it is definitely the dizzy that is the problem, but as no spare was to hand we were limited by what we could do.
The last run was just on 180bhp at the wheels which was 30 odd up on the start of the day and on the way home the car felt totally different. It was really lively and crisp, pulling like a train from just about anywhere in the rev range and revving round much quicker than it used to.
So overall a successful if very long day and I'm over the moon with the results. Feel sorry for Paul & Mark as their going to be back doing it all again this morning!
Just waiting for the bill now :gulp:
How was your's on the way home?

Lovely thanks. The fan controller is a excellent at preventing temp gauge paranoia from taking over in the drivers seat. I've not seen switch more than half speed fans on so far. Add working indicators to this and you have one happy owner ready for LM.
Hopefully see you down there.
Steve.
