If it's the same as a 911 you may find that the nuts are 'one use' plastic items and can just be pulled off. Er best be sure first though!

No they are small interference-fit metal nut shaped cups with rubber inserts you can re-use.
They are very resistant, in theft at least.
had two badges messed with over last five years.
First one was (eventually) pulled off, although scrape with pen knife marked paint behind badge area.
Second time badge was bent almost off, but left bolted on, and needed replacing with new one anyway.
Present one I noticed, was badly stone-chipped recently, so I suppose its out with toolkit again!

I've lost one from my old C4 with a fair bit of damage as a result so on my GT3 I got a sticker off ebay. Nice quality too!
If the chavs do decide to nick it I should avoid the damage and lose a couple of quid rather than the fat part of twenty.....
