Contact your own insurer and they will refer you to an accident management company they are affiliated with who will no doubt take it on and charge the other parties insurer for the privilege but that's not really your issue being blunt about it.
Or you could search the internet for your own accident management company, the end result is the same really Cuvva are being a bit silly as their costs will rocket but that's how it goes.

Not really your problem.Total Drivin said:
Said he will happily pay for the damage as he thinks it will cost £200 at the most.
If you're seriously entertaining the idea of settling for 'cash' at least get a proper repair quote.Total Drivin said:
Will my premiums shoot up should I claim?
Not shoot up, but you will have to declare the claim, and your future premiums will be loaded accordingly.Total Drivin said:
What do?
Up to you. Go through insurance, or get a repair quote, and take the money off him. Depends on how much time you've got on your hands.Tom _M said:
The excess would only apply to his repair though, not yours surely, so would only be paying that if he claimed on his insurance for the damage to his car. Also, what sort of policy has a £1200 excess?
Cuvva is a one day or short term insurance so have massive excess's.Ring your insurance say hes hit you here is his details. They will call them and start this for you
lets go back to thid party insurance..
What is covered by third-party insurance?
If you have an accident while driving the car that’s listed on your policy, third-party insurance covers you for:
Third-party injury to a passenger or a person in another car
Damage to another person’s car
Damage to another person’s property, including driving into their wall
In this instance the damage was caused by someone else, not the insured.
