Im looking for an estate and interested in a 1.4 TSi Skoda Octavia or 1.2 TSi Fabia. It'll be around a 2010 model.
Are these engines solid? Is it worth considering cars over 100k miles or are they dodgy at high mileage?

Had Octavia Estate A5 with 1,4 TSI, 120 bhp , manual for 175k km, since 2010 till 2016 no problem whatsoever with the car. Was punchy enough to tow a trailer with a small sailing trimaran and 3-4 pax.

Now have Octavia Estate A7 with 1,4 TSI, 150 bhp, PDK since 2016. So far 73k. No problem at all apart from rear parking sensors loom replaced at around 40k. More powerful and torkey engine. Had Porsche 981 at the same time, don't feel much strain driving Skoda after Porsche.
