IMS Models engines and years it effected ...

Looking for a new steed to fill the space in the office next to the last of the Boxster S that residing at the moment ....

The IMS issue what models , engines and years did this effect ....

The regular M96 engines, not the GT3 or Turbo. These were in 986 and 987.1; 996 and 997.1 cars. The IMS failure was rare and, as Cmoose says it afflicted some cars more than others. Hartech have masses of info on this.

You missed out the M97.
