HI All,
I have a ZX6R F3 thats in need of some new shoes and after trawling through various reviews and articles i think the BS S22 are the way to go. 160/60/17 rear is fine but the issue is that they only provide a 120/70/17 front rather than the standard 120/60/17. Will the 70 profile make much of difference?
Because of this, am i better going for the S21 (they cover standard sizes) or a perhaps a different tyre all together?
Cheers

What will the bike be used for? Track days, two up touring with luggage, winter commuting etc. all have different priorities as regards tyres.I have a ZX6R F3 thats in need of some new shoes and after trawling through various reviews and articles i think the BS S22 are the way to go. 160/60/17 rear is fine but the issue is that they only provide a 120/70/17 front rather than the standard 120/60/17. All depends what you are doing, I have the S22's on my RSV4 as they are a performance based road tyre and less psychotic in the wet that the standard Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres it came with.
On my VFR I have the Michelin Road 5 which is a great all season, all weather tyre for a bike that I commute on.

The taller profile might just about rub on the front mudguard, seen this a couple of times. Not sure if the bikes had stock mudguards or not. Either way it's not difficult to fix it, moving the mudguard up slightly.I have a ZX6R F3 thats in need of some new shoes and after trawling through various reviews and articles i think the BS S22 are the way to go. 160/60/17 rear is fine but the issue is that they only provide a 120/70/17 front rather than the standard 120/60/17. Early R6's came with a 120x60x17.
Changing to a 120x70x17 will make the bike less inclined to tank slap and feel a bit better on turn in.
Check you have enough clearance between tyre and mudguard.
I would fit the 120×70×17
