Hi all,

I ordered a set of overmats for the Vantage from the AM dealer, but the fitting is horrible - it's like they're made for another model.

I'd appreciate if someone who also has them could confirm that this is correct, and if possible share a few pics just to see how they fit on their car.

I don't know if it is clear from the pics below how badly they sit in place, but here it is:

Here are the details of the packaging:

Below is sample photo - mine are exactly the same

I pushed the boat out and got a set for the Rapide. Sent them back after a few days. Poor fit, poor mounts and they used to gather up under your feet as they were too soft and flimsy... I made some templates for a supplier to make me some, but they lost them and so I too am matless. If you find a decent supplier do post.

Can't help with OEM fit but the ones I got from eBay fit very nicely, have contrasting edging which matches the stitching in my car and cost a fraction of the AM ones. Which means i'll just replace them every year as they start to get scruffy! Necessity this time of year I find.

I too would appreciate info on a good supplier. I bought aftermarket (tailored) ones for the Vanquish i swear they confused it with an Anglia!

Got these two years ago from a company called carmatsuk, £53.00 delivered including the contrasting stitching and wording to match the trim, they are not amazing quality to the touch but they look good, fit well and are wearing well, I didn't even need the supplied fastening kit as they fit so well, the trick is to just tuck the corner under the footrest a little on the drivers side

They wont do the actual AM logo due to copyright but they will put the words on.

Ordered front mats for Vanquish from an AM dealer and like everyone else on here the fit is rubbish not worth the price, should have sent them back.

Thank you all for you replies. I see that everyone has the same issue, so apparently aftermarket is the way to go...

Bought mine and had the same issue and then the dealer lost one after a valet had been done offered to pay for a new set and they were just as bad!
Shame as they are expensive at £350

The fixings are a generic one it seems but shame they are not as good

Seems a common story :-( Why is this so difficult - especially after trying the terrible £350 ones?

I am actually running a set from 'Buyology' in Barry now smile £10 for a set of 4 and I can chuck them if they get dirty!!!

I would rather something nice though - with a proper on-brand feel and quality. Happy to quadruple the budget biggrin;)

I had some dark blue Bentley style sheepskin ones made for my DB9. Lovely dark blue leather quilted heel pad. They fit beautifully and are made by craftsmen in Northampton (ex shoe making workshop). These are not cheap but the quality is amazing. My wife now takes her shows off when she's a passenger as the mats are so luxurious.

I would try Larry Piper at Piper Trimmers, Sparkford. I know he is doing some Vantage ones, which will be good quality and I’m sure he will tackle other models too. Won’t be cheap but mostly get what you pay for except AML in this instance!

Bought some aftermarket overmats for my Vantage, not as a replacement merely to protect the originals. Must say for the price they were which was well under £100 for the pair I'm very impressed. They have the matching broad silver stitching as requested along with the 'Vantage' logo which is pretty close to the font on the boot lid. Very good fit too.

Wow they look lovely, I dare not get in the car with shoes on though, I would want to drive barefoot smile
