Evening all

Need to get a daily car for less than £500 so I'm not putting miles on my car, not really any requirements except good on fuel and if possible is a bit obscure and won't see many.

Cheers

Something japanese and petrol is the usual answer.

Also mk1 or 2 Focus petrol.

Facebook marketplace and Gumtree are your friends.

Car Throttle often do similar challenges.

Look at Shed of the week on the front page, as if by magic one has been found for you if you are quick

Gone before it went to press.

I think you’ll struggle to get good on fuel and interesting at that money without needing to do work on it. I’ve got a Jazz that’ll be that money when it goes up if you’re anywhere near Bristol, very good on petrol and very practical but the opposite of rare.

Why spend £500 on a car, £200 on tax and a few hundred on insurance to save putting miles on your car. How much will your car devalue if drive it to work? Or is there some other reason for not driving your car?

He wanted opinions on cars under £500... That's my opinion!

If the question is what car to look for, then definitely a Ford Focus.
