INDIE COTSWOLD PORSCHE

Just about to get a LOAD of work done on my 120,000 mile 2010 Spyder - feeling quite comfortable with the Cotswold experience so far - but as with anything, it's all about delivery - just want to be absolutely certain my Spyder is going to the right place

Suspension and General Servicing

Any comments gratefully appreciated - perhaps any negative by pm please

Is this Cotswold Independent Porsche?

Run by a mate of mine - he is passionate about all things Porsche

Alignment & suspension recommendations on here tend to be Centre Gravity.

Not used them myself though.

Yeah the indie
I know they get a lot of repeat business and are especially good with any Porsche that isn't Stuttgart's latest offering (I also now that they don't like doing Lotus brakes wink )

The chap who runs it lives round the corner from me (literally) and usually has a collections of Porsche's on his driveway I believe he is aiming to own one of each model in red . He has a lovely 964.

He really is passionate about Porsche's, not a passion I share (except certain models) and his guys appear to know their onions

I would consider using this refresh as an excuse to try other dampers. The ride is good above 60 mph with the stock items but nothing special low down. A nice set of KWV3 or ohlins with some custom spring rates will make your love even deeper for the car!

Good luck with all the work. Beautiful cars.

Ive used Lee twice since I moved from Northampton to Street in somerset -
1st time was for 6yr service on my 981s last May - I couldn't fault him one bit, very helpful - picked me up from our hotel etc
2nd time to have a valve lifter replaced few wks ago, same again,i cannot fault him and for me well worth the 2hr drive and his prices remain very competitive

Good to know of a good independent that will be on my door step (circa 6 miles away) when we relocate to the area. When we sell our house in the South East I can buy a new toy. Been porkless for a few years as had to release money for the new house purchase. Where we are moving to I wish I still had my 987 Spyder as the roads look a joy for open top motoring

Hi Blueg33 we are moving to just outside Broadway, we have decided on this move/ lifestyle change to be near son and his family (well not that near 40 minutes away instead of 2.5 hours). It's a big move for us from an area we have lived in for over 50years so it would be great to hook up with some like minded petrol heads in the future.
From what I have seen of the roads travelling a number of times from the m40 over to the new house the roads look great for a Sunday drive whereas where we live currently driving is not fun anymore and you spend most of your time in traffic congested roads!
Hence its good to know of a good indie as thinking of buying a 9x7.2 series Porsche which are now 10 years old and don't want to go OPC for servicing and not going to bother with restrictive porsche warranty either.
