Just go to one of the reputable VAG diesel tuners and have them remap it.

No, nothing like that just disappointed with the economy of a newly acquired A4 Allroad - I had one 6 years ago and it would get 43mpg all day long and the new one struggles to maintain 36mpg driving like a granny. I was thinking it's been buggered up by the ECU update applied by VAG but I now understand I have the later 177bhp engine which is known to be worse on mileage than the old 170 version.

DTUK are possibly going to get any enquiry.

Go for a proper map rather than a dodgy box.
