After taking (paid) legal advice I have started legal action through the First-tier Tribunal Property Division. At the time of applying to the court the landlord was company A. This company has since been merged with company B and the name of the landlord has changed to company B. The landlords address has remain unchanged.
Has this change of name any impact on the paperwork issued to date which is all addressed to company A?

Cheers
Jack

Do you know the nature of the merger?

Did company B buy company A and does company A still exist? I suspect you may need more paid for legal advice as there are quite a few possible scenarios here.

Both companies are Registered Societies, if that makes any difference.
The official notification letter advises that it is a merger, the address for serving Notices is unchanged. A letter from solicitors acting on behalf of the landlord advise that the two companies have amalgamated with company B becoming the relevant landlord.
Our application to the Tribunal was made 3 weeks before the merger.
The tribunal directions are dated 1 week after the merger.
The landlord’s solicitors have not raised the name change as an issue and have provided information as instructed by the tribunal. They merely advise of the new landlord (name).
My concern is falling foul of the name change at the hearing.

Yes. The more I see of this sector the bigger the can of worms becomes.
