On a mobile device (using Chrome) when reporting a post, if you type anything in the comments box, the report button disappears.

I get the disappearing button. Turning the phone to landscape shows the button again.

Does it depend on the device/OS?

Don't know. I was using Chrome on a Samsung S9. When I used Samsung internet on the same device it was fine.

I'm bemused that people report posts.

I'm sure the mods notice - stuff that they see as being in the wrong sub-forum usually gets moved quickly enough.

No, they don't. There's no way every post can be read by the moderation team.

Most moderation acts are as a result of posts/threads being reported. smile

In my case, I wanted the thread I started locked/closed because it had run it's course.

Report button is the quickest way to a) Get a thread closed I started b) Report Spam and C) Report abuse.

The Mods do a great job here, and the Report button is a convenient 'straight to the man or woman who can' facility.
