Help me choose my next car
Discussion
I'm looking for some help choosing a new car. Budget isn't really much of an issue, and I have a range of cars that I've owned, tried, liked and disliked.
I'd edging towards an SUV, i just don't enjoy getting in and out of low cars! I want a very smooth car (I don't want to slow down over speedbumps or potholes and I don't want to feel the road, I think I want air suspension. Must be fairly fast, fully loaded with options, nice interior, proper soft leather not the fake stuff.
Here are my experiences so far:
- BMW 640d - current car, looks great, nice interior, plenty of torque, fairly quick. I HATE the ride. The suspensions crashes etc when you hit potholes and it's horrible in uneven roads.
- BMW 435d xDrive - I had this for around 3 weeks. I was really impressed with the handling in comparison with the 640d, and I think it was very smooth over speedbumps/potholes. Might get one as a daily.
- Audi SQ5 - love the looks, haven't driven
- Porshe Macan - wife's got one with air suspension, love it. The rear view camera is absolute sh*te quality and gets dirty daily so needs cleaning.
- Porsche Panemera 4S Hybrid - Had this for 4 weeks, did 2000 miles in it. Wow, what a car. Even with 21 inch wheels and deliberate driving over potholes, I really didn't feel anything. Amazing ride, beautiful interior. Very low but it's worth it.
- Audi SQ7 - potential contender, never driven
- Audi SQ8 - awesome looking car. Didn't like the head clearance at the rear. feels cramped. I think it's a case of paying more for less with this one.
- FFRR Supercharged - reviews are great, seems very luxurious, never driven, not sure about the image
- Porsche Cayenne - I've driven a basic model. Looks are a bit dated, I think?
- Porsche Cayenne Coupe - Similar issue to SQ8 I think with low rear passenger headroom
- BMW X5 - never driven, possible contender, worried about the crap ride I've had with previous BMW's and runflats.
Any comments, suggestions, new contenders gratefully received.
Current thinking is perhaps a 435d xDrive as a daily runaround and perhaps an SQ7.
I do about 25k miles a year.

Good suggestion. Really like the interiors. I check out the forum on here to see what people think of it.Other cars I am considering:
S-Class
S-Class Coupe, although may be too low?

Couldn't bear to part with the money for the Tesla, though I did quite like the 'x', I just don't like Musk. E-tron and EQC etc were too similar to the ICE cars. IPace goes well, super comfy, nice interior. Needed practicality, though the Taycan looks great.
Will check it out. How does it handle potholes & speedbumps? I'm serious annoyed with them and don't really want to excessively slow down for them. What about a GLS?
Possibly ticks all your boxes
I just found a great car on Auto Trader.

I wouldn't say prices have gone up a lot but they're now firm new prices are similar with prices being firm rather than the huge discounts that were available before there are decent ones.
Have you decided what you want yet as in SUV/Coupe/Big Saloon?
