Bought a Q7 earlier this week and it's already been scratched whilst parked on my street by some scrote. It's the nearside rear, looks like mixture of damage to the aluminium panel and plastic bumper.

What do you guys think?

I reckon a decent detailer would be able to machine polish that out. Shouldn't need painted I don't think.

I have some of that and 'Scratch Remover' in this kit: https://www.autoglym.com/products/bodywork/polish/... Should I go easier on the plastic bumper or will it be safe by hand?

Spoke to Jack Barclay Audi and sent the photos through and he said that it would need paint and bumper off to do it properly. Fat chance that is happening after just shelling out on the thing but I'm also keen to give it a go myself to see how much will actually come off.

SRP is pretty tame. Try that by hand first. If it’s not cutting the mustard try the scratch remover and then refine it with SRP. You won’t damage the plastic doing it by hand.
