Im really struggling to find a car as fun as my current car without spending an absolute fortune.

I was nearly tempted by a m140i but ive heard they just arent as fun as my current car despite being a fantastic car, also its like 18 grand for a good example, my car is only worth about 7k part ex so its another 10k which is a lot.

I need it to be a hatch not a 2 seater and big enough to get a pram in the boot and child seat in the back, and it must be reliable.

I dont really want to spend more than 15k in total.

Megane RS?

A few mods will see it 300-320nhp, they are really good to drive as well. I recently sold mine to buy a diesel and a track car but I would definitely buy another when funds allow.

Can pick up a good one with good mods for 9k?

Any reason you wont go older than 7 years old?

All the Megane RS are basically all the same? the 250 Cup, 265 Cup etc. cant see much value in buying a newer one tbh.

My 250 Cup had only done 40k miles in 2019 as well so there are low mileage ones out there.

mostly as itll be a daily driver and ill be putting miles onto it, and i like to look after my cars but itll be harder to find good examples of older cars.

All are reliable & the running costs will be pretty similar so it'll come down to which one tickles your fancy the most.

Will a Megane really be reliable? Genuine question, as I wouldn’t know, my Clios weren’t particularly, and I’ve heard the Turbo’s Renault Sports are worse if anything.

Don't take this the wrong way, but it seems you pretty much asked the same question on 19/1, 22/1 (Megane Q), 6/2 and now today. Maybe keeping it all to a single post would help others with what has been suggested already etc?

You also mention not really wanting FWD but would prefer 4WD / RWD, that 4 pots sound rubbish (but may entertain a nice sounding one) it can't be older than 3 years (now 7 years), budget of 20k (now 15k), must be reliable but not drink fuel, no V8s, that you may keep your current car and slap a big turbo on it, but it must be practical because of a baby incoming (GT86 has been ruled out) although you will use your partners car mostly for baby duties...

The Megane seems to be the most suggested car across these posts. I would go with that. If not, I would slap the turbo on yours.
