Considering an f10 M5
Discussion
After many 3 series im thinking it is now time i step up into an M5... preferably a sub £30k f10 M5
Is there anything wrong with buying just a bog standard one... is there any must have options beings they come with many things i would tick on a M3 e90 want list such as EDC, better audio, heated seats, sunroof etc.
Also, i'm going from a 435i Coupe... 2014 plate, MSport, 50k miles, still under BMW warranty, just serviced, has sun roof and adaptive suspension amongst other things. Any ideas what i should advertise this for... ?
Thanks
Scott

Standard M5's are very well specced compared to regular F10 5-series - pro nav, merino leather, heated memory seats, sunroof, adaptive xenons, etc.
Popular options are M multifunction seats (phenomenally comfortable), adaptive LEDs, 360 parking cameras, audio upgrades.
Through-loading rear seats were an inexpensive option but people often assume they were standard - but are essential if you need that extra practicality.
The 20" wheels were also an option though they are near ubiquitous. Personally I prefer the ride on the standard 19's and the tyres are surprisingly inexpensive these days. Speaking of which, these cars are tyre sensitive, some came from the factory with Pirellis but most with Michelin Pilot SuperSport. The general consensus is that the Pirellis are pants. I've only ran MPSS and MPS4S on my car and they have been superb.

For me the must haves were the M-Multifunction seats, harman kardon sound, 360 parking camera. The car I found had a slew of other options which were nice (split fold rear seats, extra sockets, lip spoiler, 20" wheels, comfort access) but they wouldnt have been deal breakers. Look into the option list and see what you want and dont - its a very personal thing in the end.
LCI cars were 2014. Im not 100% on the changes, i think updated idrive?? slightly more comfortable steering wheel, bit more power (undisclosed). You can tell if the car youre looking at is LCI as they have silver trim along the sides of the screen in the dash.
