Trying to be good and take my lunches in this week! Currently cooking a chicken. I've got four shifts. Is this going to ve safe to eat? Or should I freeze one lot and defrost it the day before in the fridge at work?

Stupid question I know!

4 days at a temperature of less than 4 degrees should be fine for cooked chicken. Any longer than 4 days it would be better to freeze it.

4 days is fine as long as its in the fridge at home and then at work. To be safe cook it and cool as quickly as possible and then into the fridge.

Cheers! I'm assuming the hour drive to work out the fridge won't be a problem?

Currently in a tupperware under the cold tap to cool it down quickly!

Keep it in a coolbox or wrapped with an iceblock if you're paranoid. Keep it in the boot instead of in the cabin to minimise warming from your aircon etc.

Just keep it as cool as you can without panicking too much. Imagine what the average garage or supermarket sandwich goes though before you buy it!
