Yesterday I noticed that my 2019 335xDrive has lost some functionality in iDrive. Now when I try to access the connected drive store get the message 'Connected drive store is no longer available in your car'. Also the menu option to do a remote software upgrade has gone.

I've just called BMW customer support, they put me through to the connected drive team who said that BMW have removed these features from UK cars below iDrive 7 as they didn't get enough use. He then told me to have a nice day biggrin

Brilliant BMW service.....

It was a pain anyway I never managed to purchase anything either via the idrive screen or on a desk top as the e commerce platform they had wouldn't handle an address without a house/flat number which I didn't have.

If you want to re subscribe just give them a call and do it over the phone.

Out of interest what service did you loose or wanted to subscribe to? I have a 640i and use the service quite a lot.

Dealing with connected drive can be interesting. In the past I have had issues with the renewal of services and it would confirm the renewal, soon after it reverse the transaction. Connected drive would blame the bank and the bank said all is fine. Eventually connected drive acknowledged their issue; it took months.

Connected drive has ways of pushing the service to the car, don't let them put you off.
