PCM 3 Phone Handset

2010 Panamera, with the funky little phone handset. Well, sort of.
Bought the car with a physical handset, powers on, but screen doesn't work. Ho hum, cheap enough on eBay, thinks I. In the meantime, Bluetooth works well enough. Finally got around to getting a handset, and a spare SIM for the PCM. Righto, SIM in, PCM phone works well enough, but eBay handset says, not unreasonably enough "no connection to vehicle".
Where is the setting to delete the old handset pairing, and pair the new one? Can't find anything in PCM menus, no obvious way of doing it from the handset.
Definite first world problem, but it might be nice to have it working.
