My wife tripped in the garage and has gouged two big scratches into the front wing of my DB9 with a set of keys she was carrying at the time.

Can anyone recpommend a good body shop that can do a respray to the wing (I'll probably use it as an opportunity to sort out the bonnet's stone chips too). Ideally reasonably local to Dorking / Reigate area, although I'm up for travelling slightly further afield to find somewhere good, as the last black car I had a panel re-sprayed wasn't done very well.

Thanks in advance

(PS my wife is still breathing)

P+T body shop repairs in Byfleet is not that far from you. I just picked up my Range Rover from them today. They have done body repair to my DB9 before. Reasonable and knowledgeable. He had a McLaren in there today so he knows what he is doing. Ask for Mark

I have some minor tarting up to do on the DB9 and it will be going there. I wont even bother to get other quotes

I had a front wing repaired at by Alfred Coker & Sons in Eden Bridge: http://www.alfredcokerandsons.co.uk/

Sevenoaks Aston Martin referred me to them. They used to do warranty repairs for Aston Martin and they di a fantastic job on my Tungsten Silver DB9 Volante.

It might not have been my first question, but I am sure you immediately asked if your wife was unhurt. smile

Our detailing friend on here, often mentioned a firm near Gatwick / Crawley.

Can someone help with names. I only recall the detailer likes cake.

These guys did an amazing job on my DB9.

They are an Aston accredited shop. Do Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren etc.

Thank you everyone for the recommendations, I should certainly ought to be able to get a good repair done at one of these.

Jon - It wasn't my first question, as to whether she was alright. I knew she was fine, because it took her three hours to pluck the courage, after I got home, up to tell me what had happened and during that time, she'd made me supper, shown me the 10 shirts she's ironed for me and told me all about the gardening and housework she'd done that afternoon!

Thanks again for the recommendations. I went to SL Retorations near Gatwick and they were very attentive, took lots of notes, photographs etc and promised me a quote by the middle of the following week. I'm still waiting for it, so I then drove over to Byfleet to P&T Repairs and met Marc. What a great guy and team he has there. I enjoyed a tour of his bodyshop (lot's of MGs a 70's Aston V8 and other exotica being worked on). He gave me a quote there and then, explained how they would re-spray it and said that he'd touch in some of the other little blemishes while it was with them.

Picked it up yesterday and what a fantastic job they did on it. The finish is like glass and it's perfectly matched. Judge for yourselves. I would recommend P&T to anyone in the Surrey area and as Pschlute said when he recommended them to me, don’t bother getting another quote from anywhere else!

Thank you to everyone who did post me a recommendation – just went to the two nearest to me in the end.

Much happier looking Aston (and owner) now.

Glad to be of help with the P+T recommendation. They have done two jobs for me now and great jobs both. Also handy for the station if you have to make your way home without a car.

Call Steve Berry at Southern Classics. They are just beside Twickenham Stadium. He and his team work magic on Astons, Jags and classics.
