Hi all,
I'm looking at getting a 19 / 69 plate car over the next week or so.
I know the tax rules changed not too long ago but I can't (easily) find any description about how it affects nearly new cars.
If I buy a car that was registered in July - Sept 2019, will I have to pay £855 as it's not 1 year old yet? (it's CO2 emissions are 178g)

Cheers
Craig

You will pay the 2nd year rate when you tax the car. So £145 + the £40k+ charge if required.
