Dunno if anyone is watching this: https://www.channel4.com/programmes/crazy-deliciou...

The concept's sort of okay, amateur cooks trying to come up with wacky but tasty food the sort you might expect Heston Blumenthal to serve up in one of his restaurants (he's one of the judges). The other two judges are okay, the Swedish guy obviously knows his stuff, but it's perhaps a bit more debatable as to what the American soul food writer brings to the party.

But it's the presenter that spoils it for me, Jayde Adams, a Bristolian comedian who's a walking advert for type 2 diabetes and seems to spend a large part of the show eating the set. I sort of get that the whole thing is set in a Willy Wonka-esqe land where the cooks can go forage for their ingredients but after eating one or two items of the set the joke wears thin (but the presenter doesn't). She seems nice enough but needs to ease off on the fact that she likes to eat, it's not a good image to be portraying in this obesity ridden age.

6/10 biggrin

She does the "are you going to bingo" ad, which is enough reason not to watch.

The BBQ watermelon was a masterstroke though. The guy hit it so far out the park the other person might as well have gone home before the judges came down the stairs.

The massive blue presenter puts me right off as well but I guess thats C4 ticking the 'diversity' box. Funny as if she was anorexic she wouldn't be anywhere near the camera but its seemingly ok to be obese...
