Hello All.
So it seems buying a model 3 the options appear to be either to pay cash or use Tesla’s own finance option at 4.9%
There must be a better way to finance these I’m thinking.........

(I’m looking at personal purchase not the salary sacrifice BIk option)

I’ve done a bit of digging with a few places and it seems lenders don’t really like to deal with Tesla as they are not as slick to deal with as regular car manufacturers. Maybe, but there must be a way. One option I’ve found so far was for me to buy the car outright and then a finance co would look at buying it from me then I finance it back. I don’t have £40k to do that though.

Has anyone found any lenders that can offer good PCPs on these cars which I believe will have pretty strong residuals.

Let’s see if we can identify some good financing methods.

There are decent offers and they are posted here on a regular basis.

They tend to sell out fast though, but you can get a M3 for ~£400 a month.

If you’ve got a supercharger link then you’ve presumably already ordered a car from Tesla in the past, so you must know how it works?

The options are simple:
- Cash
- Hire Purchase (Tesla)
- PCP (Tesla or customer arranged)
- Lease (customer arranged)

Tesla's standart lease and PCP rates are horrible.
But, as quarter end demand levers, they are offering better rates time to time.
For leasing, sometimes lease brokers are offering much better rates.

They have some pretty good prices, I am seriously considering the e208 to join the Ioniq and they have a great price for the GT version. I'll need the miles increased though so I'll speak to them nearer the time.

Like everywhere else though the iPace is just too expensive, I can't believe the number of them I see for sale on AT.

Agree. I had an early deposit down on the iPace, even went to Geneva to see it, but bailed once the pricing structure was announced

Have you looked at used iPace prices recently, a barely used 12 month old one is rapdily heading towards the £45k mark. That's Model 3 SR price with FSD optioned.

Having said that on my drive up the M1/M25 yesterday at one point there was a Model 3 in lane 1, I was in lane 2, and another X than blasted past in lane 4, pretty common sight now around the M25.

In fact apart from Tesla's I didn't see another EV during a 2hr+ drive up the M1. I guess that's the difference between owing an EV with the safe knowledge of knowing you can access the most reliable EV charging network around, versus one that appears to be still running beta drivetrain/charging software.

Just a fyi, a couple of months ago, there were decent ipace leasing deals. So they may come up again near quarter ends.

Why not salary sacrifice?

My 3p is 515pcm after April, I don’t care about batteries, depreciation, insurance, tyres, miles, maintenance

Precisely why I stopped the IPace route and went m3. The charger network is critical

That’s the best route isn’t it - but not offered by my employer. Hopefully one day.
