So, the first car I’ve had in nearly 25 years of driving that doesn’t fit the ‘shed’ category, and I’m picking her up tomorrow.

Rebel Green with a black roof and wing mirrors, 8spd automatic ‘box with 17 inch wheels and non-runflat tyres

She has the comfort access plus and navigation packs, and has covers 1300 miles in her eight months with her previous owner, which is just over the Mini recommended running in period......

Off to the south coast once we have picked her up, so should get a few hundred miles in to get acquainted

Nice!

Mrs IJ has a cooper and had an S works as a courtesy car the other week and loved it.

Rather tempted myself!

I considered loads of hot hatches, and had a long list of test drives booked in, but the local dealership put me in a cooper S for an hour, then one of the sales guys JCW and I was sold!

Mrs C has a 53 plate mini one, which I didn’t think she’d give up until it finally died, but even she wants a Cooper S now!

Can’t wait to pick it up, it’s like Christmas Eve in our house!

Very nice and you will love it. thumbup

I've had my F56 Cooper S three years in august and it still puts a big smile on my face. The JCW will be on a different level entirely. cool

Enjoy it when you pick it up. driving

Thanks, the Cooper S is a great car, and I nearly bought that instead, but the JCW scratches a 23 year old itch, and by god it hits the spot!

And she’s here! Five hours into my life and I love it already. Not even had time to work out the infotainment yet, but somehow managed to turn the ten mile journey home into 104....

She’s thirsty, loud and cackles on the over-run. Perfick.

Apparently there is something called a ‘green’ setting? No idea, but I’m sure I’ll find it one day.

Gratuitous picture to follow when the upload bit stops dicking around (or more likely I work out what I’m doing wrong)
