I have a 1990 964 C2 (LH) and have definite fuel starvation on track days once the tank is anywhere near 1/4 full. Any ideas on resolving this? Woulda different pump solve?

I think the infamous DME relay has something to do with fuel pump dosnt it? have you swapped that out?

Just make sure it's the pump......

I had some apparent starvation issues that turned out to be lambda sensor, seized advance /retard mechanism and failed spark plug on no.4. Took a long time by an expert (Craig at GT1, Chertsey) to establish. I think the fact that it seemed to happen on low fuel to start with was purely coincidental...

Could also be muck in the tank, of course, which was my inital though when the old banger misfired....

Thanks Melv and Pesty i'll have these items checked over.
I take form your comments that this shoudl be unusual and not characteristic of 964's?(considering only happens on track days with r-rated tyres in sharp corners)
