I work for a smallish housing developer, and one of our subcontractors (Inbuild Solutions Ltd) is rumoured to have gone bust last week.

We received the information 2nd hand from another contractor who was eager to pick up their work, but we've had nothing official. There is complete radio silence from them, the website is offline, emails bounce back, the landline is dead and there is no response from any individuals that we have mobile numbers for. I know it's a bit early for anything to show on Companies House, but I checked anyway, and there is no change there. Google has a few suggestions of places to check (London Gazette), and there is nothing.

Is there anywhere else that anyone can think of for me to check their status? Or has some secret place they can check for me? We only owe them about £3k at the moment, which we will hold back until we know what's happening, but really we need confirmation so that we can get another contractor in to do their work so that we're not holding up the build while we wait for them.

The only two named employees on LinkedIn are looking for other opportunities.

They're in Basildon, we're in Northamptonshire.

I'd completely forgotten about Linkedin, just searching for the company brings up quite a few updates from people who've suddenly been made redundant. I can only wish all the best of luck to the people directly affected. Our QS is now on the case to find a replacement subbie.

Thanks, it's good to have official confirmation of the situation. We'll wait and see if/when the administrators get in touch.
