Could you resize them before you post them please ? I've got broadband and it still took ages to download.

when you say you have broadband, what connection speed do you mean?

because this page took approximately 0.25 seconds to load for me. i know that i am lucky having a uni connection, but i thought broadband connections were all above 125kb/s or so.

192KB isn't a huge file I didn't think.
Firefox users can rightclick -> View Image to see the full size* pic.

*this views it in a single window, not in the thread so is not subject to the PH resizing.

2Mbps broadband. Strange, it took about 20-30 seconds to download on my 3GHz machine this morning. Even a 6 Meg image of Mars downloaded from Nasa's JPL website was quicker ! There must have been a server or network problem at the time. I've just downloaded a copy on my old 650MHz laptop using the same connection and can see its only 192k and it only took a second to receive. There weren't any other problems with Pistonheads or other websites that I went to today so I've no idea what happened there.

I've just upgraded from 512Kb to 1Mb, but it's clear that with some websites, the limiting factor is not the connection but the ability of the server to hoof stuff down the wire.

Anyway, two of my friends still use dial-up so spare a thought for them!
