Playing with scammers again

I've got a Nigerian (lagos) scammer trying the old classic of 'buying' goods but needing me to pay his carrier (£2k). Add it all to the card and bank transfer the 2k.
I've extracted 3 credit cards and 1 uk bank account, all notified to the issuing bank. It's staggering how prevalent this fraud is. I understand how they could get skimmed card details but I didn't think it that easy to open UK bank accounts which I assume they would clean out via an ATM card or internet banking? Then again that leaves foot prints if you transfer it somewhere else so I'm guessing they use bank cards at machines.
Given the UK bank account would be good for 1 or two transactions before being closed/frozen, they must have 100's of the damn things. I assume they steal mail and get fake ID make up to match.
What is also worrying is on one call to Chase (Visa) I was put onto the automated service initially, tapped all the details in and it gave me access to balance, payment history and a bunch of other options such as issue new card(physical). The scammer knew the CVV/address of the card holder, zip code.
