Evenin all, I'm new around here.

Just picked up my first Aston - a 58/09 DB9 Volante.

I love it but it has an issue with the passenger wing mirror. I've tried searching and it appears one or two people have reported the problem but I can't find any mention of a fix...

The mirrors fold in when the car is locked. When they fold out again the passenger mirror glass remains looking at the floor and you can hear the motor clicking away whilst the glass moves at a very slow rate before giving up. I can then move the glass with the wing mirror control to get it into position, but it just does it again the next time I get in the car.

Has anyone found a fix for this please?

Cheers 👍🏻

A workaround may be to have the automatic folding upon locking option disabled (dealer has to do it I believe); so that you're avoiding it occurring every time?

Don't take this as 100% sure, but I believe the mirror motor is a Ford part, so if you have to change something, you might want to look in that direction.

Thanks chaps!

I'll have a look into it. I wonder, is taking the mirror glass out just the same as on any car - just flick it out?

That way I'd maybe have a better view of what is going on.
